I remember a quote from an article about Stardusters...."Lou Stolp threw away his straight edge when he designed the Starduster". that cover sure captures the airplane's good side (not that it has a bad one!) I have a Too, almost makes me want to have a One also.

Good of you to mention the cover photo.

I thought it was an unusually effective shot; large and bold. It shows what staying power these airplanes have.

With all of the Stardusters that have been on the cover of Sport Aviation it is a shame that Lou Stolp is not named in the EAA Homebuilders Hall Of Fame.

I imagine that there is a push from a group behind every induction. Maybe that should come from us? I never knew the man, but like his designs.

I haven't really paid close attention to the history of other inductees, but those I did notice were still involved in the movement late in life. I never really followed Lou Stolp's life, but often wondered what he did after selling his company.
