FYI guys, I heard this weekend that my old mistress has sold and is headed for.........South Africa! I guess I won't have to think about running into her at any of the fly-ins.

Paul Schafer's craftsmanship contributes to balancing the trade deficit at a critical time in US economic history.

I know you hate to see her go where you may never see her again, but it's way cool that someone loved her so much as to have her shipped all the way to South Africa. Can you imagine the scenery she'll see over there.

Paul,
Wow, that's a long way from home.

Let me echo the sentiment that your airplane was good enough for someone to make the effort to ship it halfway around the globe.

As for the scenery it might see, South Africa is a large place, but the eastern portion I was lucky enough to see once is much like southern California with foothills, brush land and scattered prickly pear cactus. In other areas its more savannah-like with scattered tall trees.

If it flies over the huge national parks there will be lions, zebras, giraffe, elephant and big 'ol crocs! Best not to ditch anywhere, or land in the parks!

Sorry to hear its going so far away, but we can all be proud at the same time.
