I am designing my own wings. Some questions I have right now is how many layers of cloth do I use? I have heard it is good to use deck cloth (light weight tight weave) for the first layer in the mold. My thought is to layup 2 layers of 8.5 oz BID on top of that, followed by 1/4" foam cut to fit between ribs on 26" centers, then 2 more layups of BID. Is that overkill? Should I use any UND. Is Foam needed on the full wing top & bottom or just the inboard half? Any suggestions on my wing tanks & fittings would also be appreciated.

More background. I will be making a separate D-tube for the LE. There will be 7 main parts to a wing: Top skin, bottom skin, main spar, aft spar, ribs (5), D-tub, & wing tip. I am using Vinyl Ester resin. I have made molds for curved top & bottom skins as well as for the spars. Ribs will be 1 layer of glass on each side of 1/4" foam. Inside of tank will be coated with cab-o-sil & Vinyl ester resin for leak proofing.
