The straps are overkill, 1/16 thick 4130 is used by Piper on the Tri-Pacer line to adjust rudder cable length and it works fine. Could make new cables also, what ever you want to do. I would prob use ...

I have used large fishing corks (large ones) glued together. Then use a belt sander to get the correct shape. Glue and seal the outside with T-88 epoxy. I've had very good results with no problems.

With the bleeder valve on the bottom I use a hand oil squirt can to bleed the brakes. If you pump in too much the reservoir will overflow and make a mess.

Great turnout, great weather. Approx. 65 airplanes flew in with two Stardusters. Several student from our A&P school got their first airplane ride.

The local FBO should have nitrogen. Also you can lease a small volume bottle from the local pressurized gas supplier.
